Rosie the Riveter Reenactors at the 75th Doolittle Raid Anniversary The reenactors help us remember Rosie the Riveter as a cultural icon representing more than six million women who went to work during WWII to build planes, bombs, tanks, etc. as well as taking over thousands of other jobs previously held by men.
