Oshkosh 2018 | B-29 Superfortress Landing Doc is one of 1644 B-29 Superfortresses built in Witchita during WWII. Doc was found in the Mojave Desert in 1987. Over the past 15+ years, hundreds of volunteers have worked tens of thousands of hours on Doc’s restoration. Countless people and organizations also made contributions to make the project successful. Now, this historic warbird serves as a flying museum to honor those who served and preserve our heritage for future generations. Learn more about Doc!
