Nevada City | Train Station The Nevada City train station has a permanently parked train on a side rail. The old mining camp of Nevada City started when gold was discovered nearby in 1863. Now, although this old west town has no permanent residents, it’s maintained mostly by folks in Virginia city, who worked for the State of Montana.
