Loons
Loons abound on Mullett Lake in Michigan. This pair did not seem to be afraid of the boat. They just hung around and dove underwater only to appear several yards away.

Loon in the Sun Yeah, tough day for wildlife images. Although Loons are great birds and fun to photograph, today was not my best. Still, it’s nice just to watch them dive and emerge many yards aways.

Common Loon Today was an indoors day for me. This image from May 2012 features a Common Loon on a lake in Michigan. He was out foraging. Each time he went under water, he would come up much farther way from our boat. Patience was the virtue of the day.
