Orchid Do you believe it; it’s snowing outside! Tomorrow may provide one more opportunity to capture snow images before summer. Today, I’d rather be inside trying to capture a nice Orchid image. The Nikon 1 V1 and the 50mm f1.4 lens allow exact control over DOF.

Phalaenopsis Orchid This orchid has not bloomed in over a year. Now, it’s just full of beautiful blooms. It’s a bit surprising to me how well the Nikon 1 V1 does close up with flowers. Perhaps, tomorrow I should haul out the heavy iron and see the difference.
