This German Shepherd, Onka, was trained by the renowned trainers the monks of New Skete. When you agree adopt a dog, you must also agree to continue with the New Skete training program, which emphasizes both teaching the dog and strengthening the dog/human bond. They breed their German shepherds for both a good temperament and a sound body. From the time they are born, New Skete dogs live in healthy social canine-human relationships. After a dog gets adopted, the social training continues with its new owner. Onka remains one of the nicest and biggest dogs you’ll ever meet.
