Spring Potpourri | White-tailed Deer It’s spring time in the woods and this white-tailed deer seems to be enjoying the late afternoon sun. A white-tailed deer may have between one and three babies with two being most common. Fawns are born from April though June with their eyes open and fully furred.

Spring Potpourri | Sunrise over the Platte Spring along the Platte River in Nebraska brings Sandhill Cranes. Photographers rise at o’dark thirty to capture first light and the sunrise before the cranes begin to rise off the river to feed in the nearby fields.

Spring Potpourri | Wild Turkey Wild turkeys will occasionally spread their wings. It’s colorful and makes a nice image. Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to get them to spread their wings without disturbing them.
